Privacy Policy

Sass Tax is a family organization app operated by Astrum Computing. We design it to collect only the information needed to provide family sharing, purchases, notifications, product improvement, and reliable operation.
Information you provide
The app may store family names, member roles and age ranges, chores, rewards, goals, virtual balances, activity entries, repair requests, appeals, and settings. Do not enter information you do not want shared with the members of your family group.
Account and device information
When cloud family sharing is enabled, Firebase creates an account identifier and stores family membership, encrypted network traffic, and an iOS notification token. A family owner may connect Sign in with Apple for account recovery, and an invited guardian may connect their Apple Account while claiming a private invitation link. Firebase receives the Apple account identifier and any name Apple supplies, while Sass Tax does not request the adult’s Apple email address. Notification tokens are used only to deliver Sass Tax notifications. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription information; Sass Tax does not receive your full payment-card details.
Analytics and diagnostics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand coarse product interactions, such as app launches, screens viewed, feature choices, plan tier, role category, and whether an operation succeeded. Analytics events are restricted to a reviewed allowlist. We do not send names, notes, amounts, family or member identifiers, invitation tokens, or Firebase account identifiers to Analytics.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash stack traces and limited device, operating-system, application-state, and diagnostic information so we can find and fix reliability problems. We do not assign a user identifier or attach family content to crash reports. Analytics and diagnostic information is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
How information is used
- Synchronize an invited family across devices.
- Apply family roles and protect family data.
- Deliver requested notifications and purchase entitlements.
- Measure coarse product usage, diagnose crashes, provide support, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information or use family activity for third-party advertising. Service providers may process limited data on our behalf, including Google Firebase, Apple, and RevenueCat, subject to their own privacy terms.
Children and families
Sass Tax is a parent-led service intended only for people age 13 and older. A teen should join only through an invitation created by a parent or guardian. Do not create an account or profile for anyone under 13. Parents and guardians control the family group and may request access, correction, export, or deletion for a teen’s information.
Retention and deletion
Cloud family information remains while the family is active and as needed to provide the service. The app lets you export a readable copy. A family owner can permanently delete the family’s cloud record, invitations, registered devices, and account from Privacy & Data settings. A joined member can delete their account and remove its access and registered devices; shared family history remains under the family owner’s control. We retain information after deletion only when required by law, to resolve a live dispute, or to prevent documented abuse, and delete it when that need ends. You may also contact support for access, correction, export, or deletion help.
Security and international processing
We use platform authentication, access rules, protected local storage, and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations used by our providers.
